Directions
Fort York National Historic Site is located northeast of the Canadian National Exhibition grounds, at the end
of Garrison Road, which runs north off Fleet St, between Bathurst and Strachan Ave.
From Gardiner Expressway eastbound: Take the Jameson exit off the Gardiner Expressway and continue eastbound on Lakeshore Blvd. past the Canadian National Exhibition grounds and Strachan Ave. Stay in the left hand lane, turn left at Fort York Blvd. and go north to Fleet St. Turn left onto Fleet Street and go west to Garrison Road. Turn right onto Garrison Rd. and follow Garrison Road to the parking lot.
From Gardiner Expressway westbound: Take the Spadina exit off the Gardiner Expressway and continue westbound on Lakeshore Blvd. Turn right at Fort York Blvd. and go north to Fleet St. Turn left onto Fleet Street and go west to Garrison Road. Turn right onto Garrison Rd. and follow Garrison Road to the parking lot.
From Fleet Street westbound: Follow Fleet Street west past Fort York Blvd. and go west to Garrison Road. Turn right onto Garrison Rd. and follow Garrison Road to the parking lot.
Parking while visiting Fort York is available in our main lot situated at the West Gate entrance on Garrison Road. Proceeds of parking support Fort York and the Fort York Guard and Drums. All parking is wheelchair accessible.
From Bloor Street Subway:
West Gate: From the Bloor Subway take the Bathurst 511 “Exhibition” streetcar. Exit at the Fort York Blvd stop, walk west on Fort York Blvd. to the footpath under the Gardiner Expressway up to the West Gate of the fort.
East Gate: (The East Gate is only open during special events, please enter Fort York via the West Gate.) Take the Bathurst 511 “Exhibition” streetcar south from Bathurst subway station and exit at the Fort York Blvd. stop. A brief walk back north on Bathurst St. will take you to the foot bridge which connects Bathurst St. to the fort's East Gate.
From Union Station:
At Union Station take the 509 Harbourfront streetcar towards the CNE Exhibition grounds on Fleet St. Exit streetcar at Bathurst St., and proceed north on Bathurst St. Turn left at Fort York Blvd. and follow the footpath on the north side of Fort York Blvd. under the Gardiner Expressway up to the West Gate of the fort.

From King and Bathurst: From King St. ride south on Bathurst St. towards the Lake Ontario. Cross the Sir Isaac Brock Bridge (Bathurst), turn right onto Fort York Blvd. and follow the path on the north side of Fort York Blvd. under the Gardiner Expressway up to the West Gate of the fort.
From Fleet St. westbound: Follow Fleet St. west, turn right on Bathurst St. Turn left onto Fort York Blvd. and follow the path on the north side of Fort York Blvd. under the Gardiner Expressway up to the West Gate of the fort.
From King and Strachan:
From King St. ride south on Strachan Ave. towards the lake. Turn left at Fleet St. to Garrison Road. Turn left onto Garrison Rd. and follow Garrison Road to the West Gate of the fort.
From the Martin Goodman Trail:
At Lakeshore Blvd. and Strachan Ave. exit the trail and ride north on Strachan to Fleet St. Cross to the north side of Fleet St, turn right and walk bike on Fleet St. to Garrison Road. Turn left onto Garrison Rd. and ride on Garrison Road to the West Gate of the fort.
From King and Bathurst:
West Gate: To enter via the West Gate walk south on Bathurst St. towards Lake Ontario. Cross the Sir Isaac Brock Bridge (Bathurst), turn right onto Fort York Blvd. and follow the path on the north side of Fort York Blvd. under the Gardiner Expressway up to the West Gate of the fort.
East Gate: (The East Gate is only open during special events, please enter Fort York via the West Gate.) Walk south on Bathurst St. towards Lake Ontario and cross the Sir Isaac Brock Bridge (Bathurst). Turn right onto the footbridge located on the west side of Bathurst St. south of the bridge and enter the fort via the East Gate.
From King and Strachan:
From King St. walk south on Strachan Ave. towards Lake Ontario. Turn left at Fleet St. to Garrison Road. Turn left onto Garrison Rd. and follow Garrison Road to the West Gate of the fort.
